This breed is originated from German as guard dog. It is a robust working breed of great strength descended from the mastiffs. It is oldest surviving dog breed from time of Roman Times. They are gentle playmate and protector within the family circle, the Rottie observes the outside world with a self-assured aloofness. One of the most important things to remember with rottweilers is that they need extensive and continuous socialization to be good family companions.
